Sending us your miniatures
Sending models to Battle Colours, please address them to:
Battle Colours
9/1 Aitkenbar Drive
Bellsmyre
Dumbarton
West Dunbartonshire
G82 3EZ
Please send an accompanying list detailing what is supposed to be in your package and if possible, an email of the same information. This will help us when double checking your miniatures upon arrival. this happens the day after the models arrive.
Please put small parts into larger envelopes/containers/bags so that they are not lost.
When the models arrive, they are put on a receiving table. We open and inventory the contents then send an email to confirm arrival. Usually
We will allocate a Project Code (generally your initials) and this will be used for all correspondence relating to that particular Project.
Your models are put into sealed bins with foam trays.
Minimum Order Value
Battle Colours are very keen to ensure our customers receive exactly what they wanted.
We currently have no minimum quantities on painting commissions.
Nor do we have a maximum order value.
Customer Project Turnaround
You can expect your project to get done in 4 to 12 weeks, depending on current work load and the size of your project.
As a guideline, 10 miniatures approx 2 weeks, a complete army more than 12 weeks.
You will be advised at the halfway point of your project.
Delays are typically caused by availability of raw materials. If you have a deadline or need your models in time for a tournament, we will be glad to accomodate you if you bring it up before the project is started. However, we do not guarantee delivery by a certain date, only that we will make a every effort.
Holidays, illness and other external situations may slow down a project as in any business.
Matching Service
We are often asked if we can match exsisting miniatures paintwork that you already have. We can match color schemes. However, we do not guarantee that it will turn out exactly the same. If you are worried about matching as closely as possible, you should send a sample model, or an email with attached photographs (bearing in mind photo colouring etc).
Modelling
Most plastic kits of miniatures and vehicles need construction work, as do some metal miniatures.
We do not charge for this service at the present time, however, please bear in mind the time that has to be put in to this part of your project.
Basing Your Miniatures
We normally base your miniatures as requested, unless you do not want us to.
There is no extra charge for basing except for exceptional basing work for which a small charge will be added.
Add your basing needs to emails etc and to the list in with your parcel.
Your Finished Project
When a project is completed, we will take pictures. An army will get 10-20 pics taken. Before your miniatures are sent, you will get an email with pictures of your models. We ask that you reply to the email with a request for alteration or an approval. We are willing to make alterations or touch up minor errors.
In your final Paypal payment (if you paid 50% with the order), please send instructions regarding shipping. Anything not in the Notes of the final Paypal payment might be overlooked.
If your finished project is not paid for within thirty days of completion, 60% of the deposit (if 50% of full amount paid) or 80% of the full amount (if the total amount was paid at order time) is not refunded. That means if you paid £100 for your deposit (50% of the total if paid in full), only £40 would come back. Miniatures are reimbursed as above.
We are serious about getting paid within 30 days maximum.
For a large project (£200+) there might be a delay of refund while we find a buyer.
